Islamabad, March 2025— Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD) Qaiser Nawab, along with H.E. Jiang Zaidong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Deputy Chairman Senate Senator Seydal Khan, and Chairman of the Silk Road Culture Center Jamal Shah, jointly inaugurated the “Esthetic Bridges: China-Pakistan Friendship Art Exhibition” at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) through a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The exhibition, featuring the creative works of renowned Chinese artist Yang Xiaoyang and prominent Pakistani artist Jamal Shah, reflects the shared cultural legacy and ever-growing friendship between Pakistan and China.

On the occasion, Chairman BRISD Qaiser Nawab appreciated the role of arts and cultural diplomacy in deepening bilateral relations and promoting people-to-people exchanges. He stressed that cultural connectivity is one of the most vital components of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), playing a transformative role in fostering mutual understanding.
Senator Seydal Khan, Deputy Chairman of the Senate, commended the all-weather friendship between Pakistan and China and acknowledged that CPEC projects are bringing wide-ranging benefits to Pakistan, especially for the socio-economic upliftment of Balochistan. He emphasized that such exhibitions symbolize the harmony and mutual trust both nations enjoy.

Ambassador Jiang Zaidong highlighted the unique and profound relationship between China and Pakistan, describing it as a friendship deeply rooted among the people, especially admired by the younger generations in both countries. He noted that cultural exchanges are becoming increasingly popular under the CPEC framework and play a crucial role in connecting the hearts of both nations.

Jamal Shah, Chairman of the Silk Road Culture Center, shared his perspective on the significance of art as a universal language that brings nations closer and bridges civilizations.
The event concluded with a guided tour of the exhibition where dignitaries and visitors admired the beautiful artworks symbolizing the timeless friendship between China and Pakistan.
