Islamabad, August 25, 2025 – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, has bid an emotional farewell as his tenure in Islamabad comes to a close. In a heartfelt message titled “Shukria Pakistan”, he reflected on his years in the country as more than a diplomatic assignment, calling it a journey marked by friendship, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
Al Zaabi, who assumed office in Pakistan on September 17, 2017, said he never once felt like an outsider during his stay. “In this land of generosity and among such noble people, I found open hearts and true hospitality,” he remarked, praising the kindness, resilience, and cultural depth of the Pakistani nation.
Looking back, the ambassador highlighted that his time in Pakistan went far beyond official duties. It was, as he described, “a full chapter of life” where he forged personal connections, embraced shared values, and admired the traditions of loyalty, honor, and dignity he encountered.
Though his diplomatic mission is ending, Al Zaabi emphasized that his relationship with Pakistan remains strong and enduring. “I may be leaving, but the affection stays. The bridges we built will continue to strengthen the friendship between our countries,” he assured, expressing confidence in the future of UAE–Pakistan ties.
He ended his note with words of gratitude: “From the depths of my heart, I thank the government, leadership, and people of Pakistan. I will always stand as a true friend of this nation.”
His farewell message has drawn warm reactions across social media, with Pakistanis appreciating his service and celebrating the long-standing brotherhood between the UAE and Pakistan.
