Islamabad, December 9, 2025:Mr. Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), attended the Qatar National Day Reception held at the Sheesh Mahal, Serena Hotel, Islamabad, on the gracious invitation of H.E. Ali Bin Mubarak Al-Khater, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Pakistan.
The prestigious ceremony was graced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan as the Chief Guest, reflecting the strong and time-tested bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Qatar. The event commemorated the foundation of the State of Qatar by its founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, celebrating Qatar’s remarkable journey of unity, development, and progress.

Mr. Qaiser Nawab extended his heartfelt congratulations to Ambassador Al-Khater and the Embassy team, commending Qatar’s visionary leadership, international diplomacy, and peace-building initiatives. He remarked that Qatar’s leadership under His Highness the Amir has demonstrated a profound commitment to global peace, sustainability, and prosperity.
“Qatar is home to millions of Pakistani workers and professionals who contribute significantly to the country’s development,” said Nawab. “It is truly a second home for all of us, bound by shared values of brotherhood and progress.”
Mr. Nawab also appreciated Qatar’s role in promoting humanitarian dialogue, mediating for peace, and strengthening cooperation in sustainable development across the region.
